1. About this policy
This policy describes how the Android puzzle game Button accesses, uses, stores and shares information. It applies to the currently released version of Button without advertising, accounts or cloud services. The game can be played offline.
2. Information used by the app
- Game progress and settings: the current unlocked level is stored on your device using Android app storage (Flutter SharedPreferences). The developer does not receive this progress through a server.
- Microphone (optional, level 4): the game can ask for microphone permission to measure the surrounding sound level and respond to changes in loudness. This processing occurs on your device. Button does not create, retain, transmit or upload audio recordings. You can deny access and complete the level using an alternative touch-based interaction.
- Motion sensors: certain puzzles read accelerometer/device-motion measurements while the game is in use. Measurements are processed locally for gameplay; Button does not upload or store sensor history.
- Touch input: taps, swipes, holds and other gestures are used to solve puzzles locally. Button does not send interaction history to a developer-operated server.
- Sharing (optional): if you choose the share feature, Button prepares a short challenge/progress message and passes it to the Android share sheet. The third-party app or recipient you choose handles the information under its own privacy rules. Nothing is shared automatically.
3. Collection, disclosure and advertising
Button does not require registration, names, email addresses, contacts, precise location, payment information or an online account. The current version does not contain a developer-operated backend, an advertising SDK, targeted ads or an analytics SDK. The developer does not intentionally collect or sell personal information through the app.
Game information is not transmitted to the developer or advertising partners. Optional sharing is controlled entirely by the user. Google Play, Android and any user-chosen sharing application may process information independently under their own privacy policies; this is not a transfer of Button game records to the developer.
4. Data security and retention
Locally saved game progress remains in the app's private on-device storage until you clear the app's storage or uninstall it. Android device-backup features may preserve or restore app data depending on your device settings. Button does not maintain a remote progress database. App data is protected by the Android operating system's app-storage protections; no security measure can guarantee absolute protection of a device.
5. Your choices and deletion
You can deny or revoke microphone permission in Android Settings without losing the ability to play Button. You can stop motion input by not playing sensor-based puzzles. To erase locally stored progress, open Android Settings → Apps → Button → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstall the game. Clearing storage resets progress. There is no Button account or server-side personal data to request deletion of. For privacy questions, email support@mynw.app.
6. Children
The game does not ask children for personal details or offer social accounts or messaging. If you are a parent or guardian with a privacy concern, contact the developer using the address above.
7. Updates and contact
If future versions add advertisements, analytics, online features or different information practices, this policy and relevant in-app disclosures will be updated before those features are released. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised. Contact: support@mynw.app.
